Dramatic poem for Soloists, Choir and Orchestra. Par GADE NIELS WILHELM. Gade composed the cantata ?The Crusaders? op. 50 for soloists, choir and orchestra (termed as ?Dramatic Poem? in the original print) in the summer of 1865; it was premiered on 24 April 1866.
Together with the cantatas ?Kalanus? and ?Zion? written later, the work constitutes, in Gade?s understanding, a ?kind of trilogy? which centers on different manifestations of the ?longing for the true light?.
The libretto of ?The Crusaders? by Carl Andersen is based on motives from Torquato Tasso?s ?Jerusalem Delivered? and spreads these over three sections which themselves are subdivided multiple times: I In the Desert ? II Armida - III Towards Jerusalem./ Répertoire / Chant et Orchestre

Sparrow Mass-Arrangement for female choir (SMezAA) based on the Urtext of the ?New Mozart Edition?.Straightforward Piano reduction.Mozart?s ?Missa in C major? (K. 220) nicknamed the ?Sparrow Mass? for its frequently recurring characteristic motifs in the violins has retained a firm place in the choral repertoire to the present day. Now it has been arranged for female choir and is appearing as part of the recently started ?Bärenreiter Female Choir? series.Heribert Breuer has judiciously transferred the tenor and bass solos to the high voices and incorporated the original soprano and alto parts largely unchanged into the solo and chorusparts. He has thereby retained the work?s original substance while giving it a wholly new and delightful sound.Heribert Breuer was professor of choral conducting and music theory at Berlin University of the Arts until 2010. He is the founder and director of the Berlin Bach Akademie and has made a name for himself with his many arrangements of works from Bach to Schubert. The vocal score is compatible with the performance material of the original work for mixed chorus BA 5343.

Edition Complète. Par RAMEAU JEAN-PHILIPPE. Rameau's only surviving opera based...(+)
Edition Complète. Par RAMEAU JEAN-PHILIPPE. Rameau's only surviving opera based on a libretto by Voltaire has survived in two versions (1745 and 1746), whereby the 1745 version was long considered lost. Volume IV.12 of the series ?Opera omnia Rameau? presents a complete edition which enables performances of both versions.
Voltaire refers to Metastasio in his libretto in that he wishes to liberate the opera from the gallant milieu and to make it a moralizing stage work that is equally edifying and political. After a prologue dedicated to envy personified, the tyrants Bélus and Bacchus are chased out of the Hall of Fame and finally Trajan is crowned with laurels for defeating the rebels, forgiving them and ultimately turning the Hall of Fame into a public temple.
The music contains many remarkable passages, such as a richly orchestrated overture, the famous monologue ?Profonds abîmes du Ténare? with obbligato bassoons, and Trajan's artful final scene ?Ramage d'oiseaux?./ Répertoire / Chant et Orchestre

Opera seria in tre atti-Rinaldo HWV 7a; Opera in three acts.Version of 1711. This was Handel’s first opera for London first performed at the theatre in the Haymarket in February 1711. Serenade in three parts-Handel set the myth about the love of the shepherd Acis ...(+)
Serenade in three parts-Handel set the myth about the love of the shepherd Acis for the sea nymph Galatea from Ovid?s ?Metamorphoses? a total of three times: in the cantata ?Aci Galatea e Polifemo? HWV 72 (1708) the masque ?Acis and Galatea? HWV 49a (1718) and finally the pasticcio-like serenata ?Acis and Galatea? HWV 49b (1732) of which the original version is now made available in its complete form for the first time. A particular charm is provided by the use of two languages in the serenata. The work was originally conceived in English as was required for the first performance. However Handel?sItalian singers were criticised for their poor command of English ? so in the end many numbers were sung in Italian. The extensive appendix to the vocal score includes the additional arias and newly composed movements for the versions used in the 1734 and 1736 performances. - Urtext edition based on the ?Halle Handel Edition? - English and Italian original text with singable German translation - Extensive foreword in two languages (Ger/Eng) - Clear straightforward piano reduction - Full score (BA10700) and vocal score (BA10700-90) available for sale performance material (BA10700-72) for hire
