Select 'Contradanzas Habaneras' by 19th century Cuban composer Manuel Saumell (1817-1870). Saumell is known as the 'Father of nationalism in Cuban music'. In more than 50 Contradanzas Habaneras Saumell never repeated himself forwithin those 8 or 16-bar phrases he was capable of astounding rhythmic and melodic invention. This group of contradanzas were originally written for the piano and arranged here for flute and guitar by Elias Barreiro. Presented instandard notation only with separate pull-out sections for guitar and flute.

In Olli Koskelin's 7 Haiku for flute and guitar the haiku gets three different interpretations: intertwined with the composed version the performers improvise it and read it out loud. The texts of haiku are included in English and in Finnish. Duration: c. 15' This product is a B4 sized folder with two copies of the performance score (loose pages). Olli Koskelin's (born 16 April 1955) compositional output reflects a wide range of interests. The vast area covered by his style encompasses the neo-impressionism of the piano work Courbures (1989) to the post-expressionist echoes of his Music for String Quartet (1981) as well as the breakneck virtuosity of his clarinet piece Exalte (1985/1991) and the rich romantic textures of his orchestral piece ... like a planet silently breathing... (1993). He often uses the overtone series like the French spectral composers and avoids dramatic culmination. Le XVIIIe siècle est représenté par une Gavotte de l'un des compositeurs les plus connus de la période, Padre Giovanni Battista Martini (1706-1784). Deux mouvements sont prises par le célèbre cycle piano de Tchaïkovski, un Album pour les jeunes: ' Old French Song ' et ' Chanson napolitaine. ' Enfin, deux pièces par Enrique Granados prêtent une saveur espagnole à la collection: ' Oriental ' et ' Jota (Rondalla Aragonesa). ' Manifestement, la flûte prend les devants dans ces arrangements duo, avec le guitariste jouant un rôle de soutien actif.
