Albumblatt für Arriaga, commissioned by the Trio Arriaga and lasting some 7:30 minutes, is the composer's fourth contribution to the classical violin, cello and piano ensemble, for which he has a special esteem. The work was written in homage to the composer Juan Crisóstomo Arriaga, and at the same time as a token of gratitude and admiration for the Trio Arriaga, to whose members the work is dedicated; a double motivation that is reflected in the title of the work. Its course is presided over by a markedly lyrical character that coexists with passages full of energy, rhythmic vivacity and drama. The introduction and epilogue of the work are based on a musical motif derived from the name of the Basque composer (Ju-A-n C-r-I-S-ostomo A-rr-I-A-G-A), made up of the notes A, C, E, Eb, A, E, E, A, G, A, in the manner of a musical acrostic, and from whose nature the harmonic and thematic material of the whole work is largely derived. Fantasy Pieces op. 88 for Piano Trio. The Fantasy Pieces op. 88 are Schumann?s first contribution to the genre of the piano trio and date from his very prolific ?chamber music year? 1842. However, Schumann needed an unusually long time to give the work its final form: the Fantasy Pieces were released only in the autumn of 1850 after several revisions. The brevity and the modest technical demands of the four charming character pieces make them an ideal entry into the world of Schumann?s chamber music also for non-professional musicians. The Fantasy Pieces, taken from the volume Schumann · Piano Trios HN 916, are now available from Henle for the first time also as a practical single edition.

Par PESSON GERARD. Ce trio est constitué de plusieurs moments musicaux inspirés des carnets d'esquisses de Marcel Proust. Proust est, entre Anne-Lise Gastaldi (pianiste et fondatrice du trio George Sand) et moi, comme un lien réflexe. Cette partition, qui lui est dédiée, est un hommage à la musique de Vinteuil (le compositeur en partie fictif de La Recherche du temps perdu), mais aussi une méditation sur les arcanes de l'invention proustienne. La phrase utilisée comme titre de ce trio est une sorte de mémento griffonné par Proust sur le folio 45 (verso) du Carnet 4 (1914-17) - phrase qui est liée au détail d'un tableau de Bruegel ainsi qu'au rougeoyant Septuor, la dernière oeuvre de Vinteuil. Musica arcaica #1 ' est la première pièce dans une série de oeuvres de musique de chambre dans laquelle Schneider comme un compositeur examine la musique des autres cultures (chants, danses, entre autres). Le vieux chypriote Pastourelle Voskos inspiré le compositeur à appliquer les techniques de composition archaïque de drone, hétérophonie et ostinato. La chanson exprime différentes ambiances : la première moitié de la chanson est dominée par l'aspiration lament im Pferch eingesperrt bin ich geboren, im Pferch werde ich sterben'. Définit la seconde moitié du fantastique et perdu, mais aussi avec fierté subi une pensée de la mort ' Niemand von euch kennt den Tod, noch das Altern! ' à la musique.
