A collection of pieces which spans two volumes in which Debussy established Impressionism as a musical style. Each book contains three pieces in contrasting styles all of which 'create a sensuous and vague impression rather than paint an actual picture'. Each volume contains the pieces in full as well as an introduction to the pieces.
