The growth of interest in the guitar has been of the most remarkable phenomena in post-war music. It is too well founded and it has lasted too long to support the view that it is probably a 'nine-days-wonder' or some kind of ephemeral 'boom'. The guitar has become to stay as an integral part of the world of music, with its own contribution to make on many fronts.
