Added by koen-dejonghe, 26 Jul 2011 The Musical "The Snow Queen" was performed in Februar 2011. It was performed by young students from 10 to 18 years old from the School H. Familie in Sint-Niklaas(Belgium). The song "The Ice Flowers" is sung by Hanna, 12 years old who play Gerda, the principale role in the musical. Gerda does not want to live without her boyfriend so she undertakes a journey to find him, all the way to the Northern Lights, and accompanied only by the ice flowers. The story is based on the fairy-tale of H.C. Andersen and rewritten by Frank van Mossevelde. The original language is Dutch. The new music is from Koen Dejonghe.The instrumentation of the orchestra: Violins and cello, piano and synthesiser, 2 flutes, 2 saxes, Clarinet, trumpet and trombone, harp guitar, bassguitar, drums and perscussion. |
