You're right, my dear Aaron. Although I find this work very imperfect, its colors and shimmering suit me. Counterpoint doubling the lead vocal wanders far from minor third and of course by jumping fourth (fifth). That's it. Where are these two intervals, just two numbers "3 & 7" randomly selected and converted to wide intervals by Taneyev, as you know. Thank you again for your compliments, as always undeserved, but I am very encouraged. François. Tu as raison, mon cher Aaron.

Zorn would be proud! A beautiful mathematical masterpiece, Francois. Never lose your sensitivity to logic. The two must be balanced. And in this piece, you have managed it expertly. Bis! Whorls of dreamy coloratura (the Harp) sparkle against the numerical background. Exquisite and grand. Bravo, Monsieur.
