| Added by grardfouillard, 31 Oct 2018 « Pianorexiques » were at the biginning small short studies written over my years of teaching piano in a completely private and therefore unsubsidized structure that I created in the 80s. "Pianorexique" was chosen as soon as I wanted to organize the classification to publish them because I found that it reflected quite well the spirit of these modest attempts to participate in artistic creation. In fact the term "pianorexique" contains the word "anorexique" (« anorexic “ in English ), which is used in to describe a symptom that corresponds to a loss of appetite. Indeed the biggest problem encountered when teaching music, as part of a hobby, to an amateur audience, is precisely the lack of "appetite" for the work of his instrument. And there is nothing to do with that. The conservatoires are doing well because the structure is very constraining. This cannot be the case with a structure whose vocation is above all to get people to make music with a more playful approach. Musical greetings. | |||
