This facsimile of an original by Francois Andre Danican Philidor is part of our French classical music collection. Edition : 1755. The solo parts of these quartets may be played on the oboe, flute or violin. This meticulously written work calls for three melodic instruments and a continuo bass, and mingles Italian, German and French styles. A work of quality, it is the only purely instrumental composition by one of the creator of the French opera-comique. Preface by the students of the CeFEdeM-Ile-de-France: terminology - phrasing - forms - ornamentation - instrumentation - the figures of the continuo bass. Four separate instrumental parts. Collection supervised by the musicologist Jean Saint-Arroman, professor at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse of Paris and at the CEFEDEM Ile de France (Training Centre for Music Teachers).
