Sonata 3 for trumpet and piano was written for trumpeter Jon Lewis and was premiered by Lewis with pianist Peter Collins in 2010. Sonata 3 was written to honor Roger Stoner, trumpet teacher at the University of Kansas from 1973 to 1987.
