Judith Bingham was born in Nottingham, England, in 1952, and grew up in Sheffield. She won the BBC Young Composer Award in 1977, and was a regular member of the BBC Singers from 1983 to 1996. Since 2005 she has been their Associate Composer. their Associate Composer. their Associate Composer.
