For Tenor Sax And Piano-Charles Gounod's restful melody soars over J.S. Bach's famous prelude. Gonoud was one of France's best composers if a little undervalued at the end of the nineteenth century before his interest in Religious and Sacred compositions waned. This piece is a prime example of his interst in ealier forms of music. This version has been faithfully if not wonderfully arranged for a Tenor saxophone and Piano accompaniment by Duncan Reid. This superb piece will be a suitable challenge for those working at grades 2-3.
