English. This piece begins simply and blossoms into a rich choral tapestry as the music develops. The solo cello adds a meaningful touch. The familiar FOREST GREEN melody is used throughout. A haunting and beautiful arrangement of the beloved 15th century carol, here arranged for SSAA chorus, unaccompanied. Presented in open score, in the key of C minor. No divisi. Intermediate.

This is an arrangement for women's barbershop groups. Note that the traditional barbershop part names (Tenor, Lead, Baritone & Bass are used, despite the women's (SSAA) ranges.

I wrote this arrangement originally as a wedding present for one of my friends, to be sung by her bridesmaids, but have since altered the score to generalise it for women's choruses/choirs.
