In addition to Bunk?s large-scale organ work ?Legende? Op.29 and its symphonic version Op.29II, there is a further well-known ?Legende? Op.55b written for organ and string orchestra (or string quartet) which was composed in 1945. This edition offers the earlier version of this work, dating from 1914, in its original instrumentation for organ and brass quartet. In order to facilitate performance, the sketchily notated score is carefully supplemented by performance markings from the string version. There is a dearth of short romantic Trumpet pieces of intermediate grade that challenge and inspire players who already feel secure both in their technique and powers of interpretation. Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921) is best known for his Carnival of the Animals and Organ Symphony. Yet his Fantasy in E flat major arranged for Cornet or Trumpet and Piano remains popular in the advanced repertoire for the instruments. Saint-Saëns entered the Paris Conservatoire at the mere age of thirteen where he studied Organ and composition. He then went on to have a successful career as an organist and composer writing his Fantasy in E flat major in 1857. The piece was originally composed for the Organ but Henri Busser (1872-1973) recognised the work's significance and arranged it for Cornet orTrumpet with Piano accompaniment. To this day Fantasy in E flat major remains prominent in the advanced brass player's repertoire.

Chagall's stained-glass windows for the synagogue in Jerusalem gave an impulse for the four movements for Trumpet and Organ commissioned by the city gallery in the West Bohemian town of Cheb. The author commented on his choice of instruments: 'The solemnity of the large panes of stained glass made me imagine the sound of the Organ and the intensity and brilliance of the sheaves of bright colours called for the shrill tone of the Trumpet.'Eben combines the two instruments in anoriginal manner: both parts retain a great deal of independence progressing in their own rhythmic patterns intersecting in places. The modal composition typical of Eben's method is confronted here with atonality enabling the final unison of the two instruments to sound with a monumental effect.Since its origin in 1976 Windows has been one of the most frequently performed pieces by the composer. The individual movements of the cycle are named after colours: The Blue Window The Green Window The Red Window and The Golden Window. The Organ part was revised by Milan Slechta the Trumpet part by Ladislav Kozderka.

This collection includes works written or arranged for myself as well as a representative selection of my own compositions (original works or arrangements). It should be of interest to all kinds of groupings from the most standard (Trumpet and Piano Trumpet and Organ Trumpet and Orchestra Wind Quintet Trombone Quartet) to the most unusual (Cornet and Brass Quintet large Brass Ensembles Trumpet and Trombone with Organ) and it of course also includes teaching material(studies exercises competition pieces).
