Reimann réglage début musical de cinq poèmes de Paul Celan a entre-temps devenu bien établi dans la compétition et le répertoire de concert. Contrairement à beaucoup d'autres chansons par Reimann, la partie de piano n'est pas très difficile de sorte que ces pièces sont d'un grand attrait pour de nombreux chanteurs et pianistes.
