Les auteurs ont conçu - avec l'aide de professeurs d'instruments - une méthode permettant d'avoir un outil à la fois ludique et vivant pour l'enfant, et le plus précis possible pour le professeur, tout en permettant à celui-ci d'enseigner suivant sa propre sensibilité musicale. Il y a désormais : un cahier principal comportant ce qui est commun à tous les instruments une partie séparée spécifique à chaque instrument comportant les duos instrumentaux, les versions instrumentales des chants et les pratiques instrumentales. Ainsi, chaque élève achètera non plus le correspondant à la famille de son instrument mais le cahier de son propre instrument.

This Oubradous series comprises three parts. The first of these focuses on scales and daily exercises. These cover a range of keys articulation intervals rhythms and range among other aspects. Moreover Outbradous' Complete Study of the Bassoon Part One contains a detailed fingering chart for the instrument. To this day Eugène Bozza (1905-1991) remains one of the most prolific composers for wind instruments despite being a violinist himself. His Duettino for Two Bassoons is no exception to the composer's success. During his studies at the Paris Conservatoire Bozza won prizes for Violin conducting and composition as well as the Grand Prix de Rome. He then conducted the orchestra of the Opéra-Comique and became Head of the Conservatoire in Valenciennes whilst remaining a prominent composer. Composed in 1954 Bozza's Duettino for Two Bassoons is a virtuosic work addressing advanced features including complex rhythms chromaticism a wide range and articulation. As music educationalist Paul Griffiths has written of Bozza's compositions 'his works reveal melodic fluency elegance of structure and a consistently sensitive concern of instrumental capabilities.'
