This 1975 tune by the Temptations is one of their later hits and described as funkadelic in style. This chart from Paul Murtha features the infectious bass line first stated by baritone sax and guitar and later joined by the rest of the ensemble on the funky riffs. The solo section on a one-chord vamp can easily be opened up but samples are provided for alto sax trumpet and trombone. Definitely a fun chart with attitude!

Notably recorded by Clifford Brown and composed by legendary jazz pianist Duke Jordan Mark Taylor's arrangement features a medium swing style and a brief duet for tenor and trumpet at the top. Then the saxes take over and do mostof the heavy lifting. Solo space is provided for tenor and trumpet with ample solid hits for the full ensemble.

This well-known composition by Horace Silver is written in a moderate Latin style. Mark's version is based on Horace's own classic arrangement and features some very nice ensemble writing. Includes a flexible solo section with written out samples for any instrument.
