The work of Paul Hindemith is encyclopedic in nature. From the outset, he worked in all musical genres and devised several of his musical ideas and projects not as individual, self-contained works but as work cycles with different functional relationships. These contrasting pieces complement each other if experienced as part of the overall structure. Les trois compositions solistes ont été très influencés par un début fondamentalement nouvelle dans la composition. Ses oeuvres ne sont plus à être caractérisés par la composition rapide basée sur des impulsions soudaines. Maintenant, contrepoint et fugue plutôt déplacé dans le centre de l'intérêt de Schumann, cette dernière étant surtout inspiré par sa relation étroite avec Mendelssohn qui était un excellent interprète des oeuvres de Bach. Le fait que le contrepoint était loin d'être une relique mort de Schumann peuvent être recueillies auprès de ses commentaires: '. Mozart's masterpiece, the PostHorn Serenade, was composed in 1779 for the Salzburg University's 'Finalmusik' ceremony that year. While the serenade gained its nickname from the call of the postHorn in the final minuet, the interior movements feature compelling concertante sections for Flute and Oboe.It is from the fourth movement that English composer Anthony Collins has skillfully adapted this cversion of the Rondo in G major. Collins himself was a composer of some reputation in the 20th century, best remembered for his light Orchestra piece, Vanity Fair, and for his film scores. This adaptation of Mozart's demanding and elegant rondo brings the piece into the chamber music repertoire. / Scores
