Nathalie Rotstein-Raguis, flûtiste à bec et Zdenka Ostadalova, claveciniste, ont enseigné plusieurs années au conservatoire de Chilly-Mazarin. Leur expérience pédagogique et leur collaboration musicale étroite les ont amenées à constituer un répertoire adapté au niveau des jeunes élèves de leurs classes. La Méthode de Flûte à bec Soprano éditée aux Editions Lemoine, en fut la première réalisation. Originally published in a different format, Potter's Alto Flute Solos is here issued in a separate book for alto flute and piano accompaniment. This collection contains works at the easy and intermediate levels, and includes popular recital pieces such as Bizet?s Habanera from Carmen, the traditional Irish tune Danny Boy, and 18 others. The same contents are also available in Bass Flute Solos (FH0512).

Composed by J. S. Bach for Flute and Piano this edition of Sonata No.6 was arranged for Alto Saxophone in E flat and Piano by Marcel Mule. Its difficulty would fit the skills and abilities of intermediate players. In terms of composition this piece was created in four different sections: Adagio ma non tanto Allegro Siciliano and Allegro. Marcel Mule (1901-2001) is one of the greatest French saxophonists renowned worldwide for his work on the classical Saxophone repertoire. He was teaching his students how to obtain a good quality of sound and believed it was dependent on the embouchure the emission the mastery ofvibrato and thus of breathing. He wrote different methods that focus on technique articulation and tone productions such as 'Scale and Arpeggios' (in three books) 'Daily exercises after Terschack' or '30 Great exercises or studies after Soussmann' (in two books) among others.

Take the lead is an integrated series for alto saxophone, clarinet, flute, piano, tenor saxophone, trumpet and violin. In each edition all of the songs are in the same key at concert pitch, allowing the different instruments to play together. Chord symbols are included at concert pitch for use by piano or guitar. 'Take the Lead British Isles folk songs' is a collection of old favourites from all around the UK and Ireland. These simple, idiomatic arrangements give young players the opportunity to play well known tunes either as solo performances or as part of a group. With a choice of backing CD accompaniment or playing along with guitar or piano 'Take the Lead' offers both teacher and student ultimate flexibility.

Aria written in 1930 by Jacques Ibert (1890-1962) is a small study initially for Voice and Piano but arranged in this edition for Flute and Piano. This version and the one for Alto Saxophone and Piano are the ones the most commonly used. The Flute score is one-page long and contains technical difficulties that would make it ideal for an upper intermediate player. Its author Jacques Ibert (1890-1962) is a neoclassical composer who won the Prix de Rome in 1919. He composed many symphonic suites operas and seven orchestras including 'Angelique' (1926) and 'Entertainment' (1930). He also was in charge ofthe Accadémie de France in the Villa Médicis (Roma) and was later administrator for the Paris Opera.
