London Brass Band Series-Leslie Pearson's Christmas Is Coming scored for 3 Trumpets 3 Trombones Tuba 2 Percussion Organ and Keyboard. 'When I set out to arrange traditional Christmas carols I was determined that they should not be yet another run-of-the-mill strophic verse-by-verse version of our Christmas heritage. I have tried to treat each carol in the collection as the basis for a Petite Fantasie - a continuous single-movement of variations on the original tune. Of course the carol is heard in its traditional form at some point during the arrangement but hopefully its appeal is enhanced without destroying the traditional concept. Inparticular White Christmas Silent Night and the middle sections of Hark the Herald and Christmas is Coming have the soft 'lush' treatment. Christmas is Coming has a humorous opening and a 'Noblimente' end. The collection is in all a delightful mixture of musical styles through the ages.' Leslie Pearson

A riotous romp through a collection of Christmas favourites A Windy Christmas is broadly based on Ding dong! Merrily on high; Angels from the realms of glory; O come all ye faithful; Silent Night; I saw three ships; Here we come a-wassailing; The Sussex Carol; God rest you merry gentlemen; Quelle est cette odeur agréable?; Jingle Bells; Away in a manger and We wish you a merry Christmas.The piece is scored for a standard brass quintet. It lasts 7' 30' but an optional cut can be made if performed as an encore reducing the length to 4' 35'.

???Christmas Colours??? is a palette consisting of several Christmas songs. Bruce Fraser has mainly used the colours green (the colour of holly) and white (the colour of snow). This composition begins with the chiming of festive bells - if you listen well however you can already hear short fragments from 'The Holly and the Ivy' whose entire melody is finally played alternated with 'The Sussex Carol'. After this the pace slows down and the stately 'See amid the Winter Snow' sounds but parts from 'Jingle Bells' and 'Silent Night' can also be heard. Then after walking under 'The Holly and the Ivy' once again the celebration of Christmas may begin!

Ainsi il fit découvrir aux Anglais la coutume du sapin et les cartes de Noël entre autres contribuant largement au Noël typiquement anglaistel que nous le connaissons aujourd?hui.Bien que les chants de Noël font l?objet d?une longue tradition en Angleterre de nombreuses mélodies que nous chantons proviennent ducontinent européen ou des États-Unis. Je savais bien que le célébrissimeSilent Night (Douce nuit) était d?origine autrichienne et que Hark the Herald Angels Sing (Écoutez le chant des Anges) était d?origine allemande. Pourtant quelle ne fut pas ma surprise d?apprendre qu?Away in a Manger (Sur la paillefraîche) ou encore We Three Kings nous venaient des États-Unis et que Ding Dong Merrily on High était un noël d?origine française. Austrian composer and organist Franz Xaver Gruber composed the original version of this Christmas work in 1818. It is probably one of the most famous of all Christmas carols and should not be missed from any Christmas concert. American composer William Gordon has produced this arrangement for brass band.
