Karl Kohaut (1726 - 1784) was an Austrian lutenist and composer of Czech descent considered to be one of the last important composers of music for Baroque lute. Although also a violinist active in the Viennese music scene he was most well-known as a lutenist. He composed a total of seven lute concertos during his lifetime including this Concerto in F Major No. 2 (not to be confused with his Concerto in F Major No. 1 which is considered the most popular) in three movements: Allegro moderato Andante molto and Tempo di Minuetto. In this edition Victor Van Puijenbroeck has created a piano reduction of the orchestral score and also has adapted the lute part to be played onguitar. Included are parts for both lute (the part has been adapted from lute tablature to modern notation) and guitar (capotasto). Edited by N. Zabaleta-Rodrigo composed the Concerto de Aranjuez in 1940 on his return to Spain after the Civil War and debut performance of the work in Barcelona founded his international reputation. Concerto de Aranjuez is a musical reverie on the gardens of the Baroque summer palace of Aranjuez that only a blind composer like Rodrigo could have produced. This work immediately became the most recognisably Spanish work of the twentieth century.This is the Piano and guitar part which has been edited by Angel Romero.

Ce compositeur, guitariste, Chevalier de Saint-Louis et de Saint-Jean de Jérusalem, Garde de la Manche du Roi, nous a légué des chefs-d'?uvre longtemps restés dans l'obscurité des bibliothèques. La présente édition s'attache à vous en livrer les plus belles pages. La première édition connue de ce concerto fut publiée par Böhme, à Hambourg, en 1802. Il peut sembler curieux qu'une ?uvre aussi enthousiasmante soit restée si longtemps ignorée des guitaristes et du public alors que son existence était parfaitement connue. Ce concerto fut recréé en 2001 à Brest avec l'Ensemble Matheus (dirigé par Jean-Christophe Spinosi). Après l'avoir joué de très nombreuses fois en France et en Espagne, puis enregistré, j'invite tous les guitaristes à partager mon enthousiasme, ma joie et ma passion pour cette ?uvre superbe.
