The Brook Green Suite for strings was written in 1933 during Holst's stay in hospital (where he later died in May 1934). He composed this piece for his pupils - the junior orchestra at St Paul's Girls School - as wanted towrite a piece in a contemporary mature style that was easy enough for his them to perform.Available here is the score and parts with string parts 5.5.3.3.3. and optional flute oboe clarinet in B flat and bassoon parts.

First published in 1921 George Dyson’s superb Woodland Suite was originally titled In Pixieland.
