Many of you have known the sacred music of David Schwoebel for quite some time. This is his first published secular work. Based on a text by Elizabeth Barrett Browning the piece is scored for SSAA treble voices with piano.

O Radix Jesse by Polish composer Pawe ukaszewski is arranged here for unaccompanied SSAA Chorus with divisions. Pawe ukaszewski is part of a younger generation of Polishcomposers who specialise in sacred and choral music. After studying composition and receiving two Ph.Ds ? ukaszewski's work has been performed throughout Europe and the rest of the world. Thiscomposition ?O Radix Jesse is a setting of the Magnificant antiphons used in Christian advent and Catholic Mass.? The haunting harmonies created by the unaccompanied chorus inthis composition are sure to remain with audiences for a long time having been intricately crafted by this master of spiritual music. David Lindley in the September 2015 issue of the Organists' Review writes that? ukaszewski's music 'is often compared to that of Górecki Pärt and John Tavener and this piece manifests thefamily resemblance.'

A Spotless Rose by Welsh composer Paul Mealor arranged for unaccompanied SSAA divisi chorus. The sublime harmonies of this piece were released on the album 'A Tender Light' that also featured his piece composed for the Royal Wedding. The moving melodies and dramatic dynamics of the vocal parts in A Spotless Rose create a subtle solemnity in the wash of the beautiful soprano and alto parts. Featuring a Piano part for rehearsal only the unaccompanied soaring of the choir will make a truly lasting impression on any audience. In the September 2015 issue of the Organists' Review DavidLindley writes that this piece 'encompasses a wide dynamic range and some high tessitura for sopranos as the music celebrates 'Mary purest maid' contrasting with the slow-moving chordal setting of the rest of the text.'

Let all the world in every corner sing was commissioned by Colston?s Girls? School in Bristol for the Chamber Choir and their Director of Music Matthew Redman and was written in August 2008 for the service to mark the school?s acquisition of Academy status.   It is a tour-de-force for upper voices ? the organ introduction leads to a tapestry of rich variety climaxing with the choir splitting into four parts for the antiphonal cries against the full organ. The music is highly rhythmic throughout its time changes dictated by the rhythm and stress of the text. An exciting addition to the intermediate upper voice choir repertoire.
