Muriel Herbert (1897-1984) was a British composer, pianist and singer. She studied at the Royal College of Music, where she met Charles Stanford and Roger Quilter. She wrote many songs for Voice and Piano in her early life, as well as some instrumental and orchestral works, but stopped composing after her husband left her in 1939. Her works were largely unappreciated until twenty years after her death, but they have now, quite rightly, become the subject of a keen and enthusiastic revival with a growing fan base.
The Lake Of Innisfree was one of her most popular works. It is a setting of a poem by the Irish poet W. B. Yates (1865-1939).

The word aloha is much more than just a greeting---it has a deeper meaning that conveys cultural beliefs about how to treat others. This rhythmic original by Ruth Morris Gray celebrates the five traits of aloha, sung in Hawaiian, and then defines them in English. The two independent lines are a perfect fit when later combined. A few enthusiastic handclaps during the intro and interlude add excitement. Chord symbols are provided for optional ukuleles or sing with the island-inspired SoundTrax.

Find the answer in this playful, original (and completely secular) holiday canon loosely based on a fragment from We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Prepared with old English Dickensian flair, the round stacks in three, a perfect recipe for building harmony skills.

The most unique multicultural piece you will sing this year. A primarily English text tells the spectacular story of an ancient Japanese fishing tradition on the Uji River. And a traditional Asian folk melody floats above a gentle koto-like piano or SoundTrax accompaniment. Magical for treble voices, and highly effective when TB singers sound like fishermen.

Three indigenous melodies from the island of Bali are presented in this charming suite for treble choirs. Drawing on a variety of primary sources based on extensive field research by Dr. Brent Talbot, each short song includes cultural background notes and a full pronunciation guide and translation. Arranger Matt Carlson adds simple vocal harmonies and counterlines sparingly, allowing the gorgeous melodies to shine. Piano accompaniments reflect compositional techniques of Balinese gamelan, the traditional instrumental music played across Indonesia.
