This book presents the seven beautiful waltzes in the Valses Poeticos for Guitar, preceded by an un-waltz-like introduction (Vivace molto) and ending with a colorful, clever coda (Presto). Lily Afshar's Guitar arrangement is very faithful to the original Piano version and contains fingerings that are idiomatic and musical. Le concours eut lieu, et le tissu d'Arachné fut jugé supérieur à celui d'Athéna, ce qui provoqua la fureur de la déesse, qui frappa Arachné. A cet instant, la jeune fille prit conscience de l'hybris (excès, orgueil) dont elle avait fait preuve. Elle se précipita dans sa chambre, tissa une corde, et se pendit avec. La déesse Athéna eut pitié d'elle et l'épargna, en la transformant en araignée.
