In this setting the Magnificat is sung by the Choir SATB with soaring Soprano lines contrasting with the rendering of the Nunc Dimittis for the most part in either baritone solo or basses in unison ending again in four-part Chorus for the Gloria.Composer Organist and teacher Ernest Bullock is best known for his anthem Give Us the Wings of Faith and for having been director of music for the coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth and writing fanfares and an anthem for that event. He set the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis twice.
