très faciles pour la harpe-French born harpist and composer Marcel Grandjany (1891-1975) studied at the Paris Conservatoire before spending much of his working life in America. His Trois petites Pièces were composed in Grandjany's early career and are simple and enjoyable works suitable for beginner harpists. Grandjany was a teacher of Harp at the Julliard School for 37 years whilst also composing and transcribing many works for the instrument. Made up of three movements Trois petites Pièces begins with a delicate Rêverie (daydream). The second piece a Nocturne contains variations in tempo time signatureand dynamics. The Barcarolle third movement is the most challenging of the three pieces accommodating the key of G? major 6/8 time signature and semiquaver flourishes. All these combined aspects of Trois petites Pièces by Grandjany make for a thrilling performance for beginner harpists.

Ibert's Six Pieces for Harp were published in 1917 shortly after the composer's graduation from the Paris Conservatoire. He was a successful composer writing for a variety of instruments including the Harp such as his Six Pieces. Despite his studies being interrupted by WWI Jacques Ibert (1890-1962) won the Grand Prix de Rome on his first attempt proving his ability from a young age. Ibert enjoyed tackling all styles and form of modernity with equal success. His Six Pieces for Harp display frequent changes of tempo time signature and key signature as well as the use of complexrhythms and varied articulation. The Six Pieces have a continuous romantic theme set near water; 1. Morning on the water 2. Scherzetto 3. Boat in the evening 4. Ballad 5. Reflections in the water and 6. Fantasy. Ibert's Six Pieces are evocative and creative suitable for all intermediate- to advanced-level harpists.

Written by Marcel Grandjany on a theme of Haydn Fantasie is a piece for Harp that includes 5 variations of the main theme. Ideally to be played on pedal Harp it would fit the skills and abilities of advanced Harp players. The technical difficulties encountered are various as this piece involves some hand-crossings arpeggios natural harmonies accidental alterations as well as some pedal changes. Marcel Grandjany is a French-born American who lived in the 20th century. He studied with Alphonse Hasselmans at the Paris Conservatoire from the age of 11 and got the First Prize at 13 years old. He composed numerouspieces for Harp of all levels: '3 Very Easy Little Pieces Op. 7' 'Divertissement Op. 29' 'Variation on the Londonderry Air Op. 20' and 'Two Duets for 2 harps Op. 26' among many others.

Recueil Harpe-Six Short Pieces is a set of short works for Harp composed by Henriette Renié. It includes chords arpeggios a few accidental alterations and some natural harmonics. Henriette Renié (1875-1956) is a French harpist who hadAlphonse Hasselmans and Théodore Dubois as professors at the Paris Conservatoire. She received a First Prize for the Harp and composed many pieces for Harp including a concerto some chamber music works and some transcriptions of other works for the Harp.
