The piece, commissioned by Eszter Lazar and the Hungarian Radio, was composed in 1995 on occasion of the 50th anniversary of Bela Bartok-s death. Its world premiere was held on 1 October in the Hungarian Radio, performed by Janos Fejervari. The fantasy-like one-movement composition resembles the structure of classical sonatina. Study is an important piece of contemporary viola music and deserves to be a significant part of not only international concert repertoire, but also of academic level music education. This edition has been supported by the Board of Music Publishing of the Hungarian Composers- Union.

Since its first performance in Berlin in 1755, Carl Heinrich Graun's empfindsame (sensible) Passion Cantata Der Tod Jesu, with a libretto by Karl Wilhelm Ramler had long been one of the most frequently performed works in this genre. Until the end of the 19th century this work was able to maintain its position in the repertoire of numerous oratorio societies and singing academies (especially the Berliner Sing-Akademie). It was often given equal billing with Bach's passions, until finally, in the second half of the 19th century Bach's works became more predominant. With the publication of the present critical new edition (the first since it was first published in 1760), Der Tod Jesu is once again available for sale to the musical public. This makes accessible an epoch-making work which in its time set the standard for settings of the Passion. Score and part available separately - see item CA.1037900.

Fantastic repertoire for fun that also builds reading, listening, and ensemble skills! Intended for first- and second-year players, this creative collection presents seven original rounds, each written from the scrambled notes of a traditional tune that students are challenged to identify. Whether in the classroom or on the concert program, the mystery delights one and all. Designed for maximum flexibility, these pieces may be performed with as few as four like instruments, or with as many instruments as desired, divided into four groups. Upper strings can be combined, or lower strings can be combined. For an ensemble that contains both upper and lower strings, ensemble accompaniment parts have been provided. The score contains a reproducible piano accompaniment as well. With so many options for instrumentation, Seven Mystery Melodies offers a unique, easy-to-use collection for teachers and beginning string students.

In this work I gave everything I had to give. [...] What I did here I will never do again.Camille Saint-Saens was justifiably proud of his Symphony No. 3 in C minor op. 78, dedicated to the memory of Franz Liszt. Like Beethoven's Ninth, this so-called Organ Symphony was commissioned by the Philharmonic Society in London, where it received its premiere on 19 May 1886.In this first scholarly-critical edition of the symphony, a great many inconsistencies and mistakes inherent in the previously used edition have been unveiled and corrected. The edition of Symphony No. 3 marks the launch of a large-scale project: the publication of Camille Saint-Saens - Complete Edition of the Instrumental Works. This performing Urtext edition is based on volume BA 10303 from that series.* First scholarly-critical edition of this famous symphony based on Camille Saint-Saens aEUR Complete Edition of the Instrumental Works* Now with separate parts for all winds* Orchestral parts in a large format (25.5 cm x 32.5 cm).

The Requiem in B flat major is Johann Michael Haydn's second setting of the liturgical text of the Mass of the dead (another Requiem, MH 599, has since been identified as the work of Father Georg Pasterwiz) and it is also his last work, his Opus ultimum. On commission from Empress Maria Theresia he began the composition in 1805, but due to a serious illness he made only slow progress with the work. Like W. A. Mozart, he could not complete this Requiem. In 1839 Father Gunther Kronecker, Benedictine Father in the monastery of Kremsmunster in Upper Austria, completed the torso in the spirit and style of Haydn. During his student days in Vienna Father Gunther belonged to the circle of friends who were associated with Franz Schubert. Score and part available separately - see item CA.5483800.
