The thoroughly revised new edition aims at reviewing the educational concept, which is still valid today, for modern lessons, adjusting the music and texts, and sensibly complementing the teaching contents. The editor who draws on many years of experience as a clarinettist in an orchestra and university lecturer of clarinet has succeeded in adapting the valuable teaching material to the requirements of today while maintaining the basic methodology. The content of the text and the performance directions of the original were linguistically modernized and occasionally extended by further ideas from the teaching practice, such as concepts for warming up, breathing exercises, literature suggestions or tips for daily practising. Further additions of scale and triad studies in all major and minor keys make this method a comprehensive and thorough work of study which not only serves as teaching material for young and adult beginners, but is also a valuable compendium of scale exercises and studies for advanced musicians and is ideal for training velocity and dexterity. The tune books contain all performance pieces from the Clarinet Method Op. 63 by Carl Baermann for clarinet and piano. Thanks to the revised editions, they are now available as scores with inserted solo part for the first time. Composed by Pierre Gabaye Sonatina is a piece for Bb Clarinet and Piano lasting 12 minutes. Divided into three distinctive parts this piece is rated as difficult and can be played by advanced players and above levels. The first part Allegro (4/4 tempo: 120-126) is really energetic as a start evolved shortly after between slower and faster sections. The second part slower (Largo) starts with the Piano on its own for two measures. This part is strongly influenced by Jazz and features long Clarinet lines supported by a rich Piano accompaniment. Having won many prizes at the Paris Conservatoire during the 1920s-1930s Eugène Bozza went on to conduct the orchestra of the Opéra-Comique and to become Head of the Conservatoire in Valenciennes. Composed for the Paris Conservatoire contest in 1938 Denneriana is a piece for Clarinet with Piano accompaniment by André Bloch. Its title is a reference to the creator of the Clarinet Johann Christoph Denner. Raymond Gallois Montbrun (1918-1994) composed his Concertstück for Clarinet and Piano in 1946 two years after he won the Grand Prix de Rome. Par WIDOR CHARLES-MARIE. French organist, composer and teacher, Charles-Marie Widor (1844-1937) is predominantly known for his Organ symphonies. However, his Introduction et Rondo for Clarinet and Piano also remains popular and is still regularly performed today. Widor became Director of Organ Studies at the Paris Conservatoire in 1890 and soon followed this by taking charge of the composition class. His Introduction et Rondo was composed in 1898 during his period at the Conservatoire and at the height of his career. The piece exploits the Clarinet to its full potential, creating a challenging yet exciting performance on the instrument. Par GAUBERT. Philippe Gaubert (1879-1941) was a distinguished performer on the Flute. It comes as no surprise, therefore, that his compositions for woodwind are at the forefront of the musical family's repertoire, Fantasy for Clarinet being no exception. After a prominent career as a flautist with the Paris Opera, Gaubert was appointed as professor of Flute at the Paris Conservatoire, as well as principal conductor of leading orchestras. Composed by Gabriel Grovlez Lamento Et Tarentelle is a piece for Clarinet and Piano. Initially written for the Paris Conservatoire contest in 1923 it is dedicated to a professor of the Conservatoire Prosper Mimart. Quite difficult (6° 7°) this work is perfect for the transition between the upper intermediate level and advanced. Lamento Et Tarentelle is divided into four sections:  - Lento ma non troppo - Vivo (Movement of Tarentelle) - A tempo - Piú Vivo This really melodious piece requires the mastering of breathing technique amongother specificities. Gabriel Grovlez (1879-1944) is a renowned composer and conductor. He studied at the same time as Gabriel Fauré and composed numerous pieces for voice and some chamber music.

Julian Menendez's 1952 composition Introduccion Andante Y Danza is a lively and attractive piece for Clarinet and Piano recommended for more advanced and experienced players.

It is dedicated to Charles Turban, a French clarinettist. Reynaldo Hahn was a naturalised French composer, conductor, theatre director and singer.
