Les chansons de ce recueil proviennent pour la quasi-totalité de collectes réalisées par les acteurs du monde associatif inscrit dans le réseau de la Fédération des Associations de Musiques et Danses Traditionnelles (FAMDT). À l?invitation de Justin Bonnet, coordinateur de cette édition, les documentalistes des associations implantées dans les différentes régions de France ont fourni une sélection de chansons issues de leur territoire. Les critères étaient assez lâches : représentativité ou rareté du thème, chanson remarquable par son interprétation? Toutes ces chansons ont été ensuite proposées aux compositeurs retenus pour cette édition qui ont fait leur marché dans cette sélection ! Il en ressort au final 23 chansons présentées ici dans des arrangements variés (principalement pour 3 voix mixtes), retenues plutôt sur des critères esthétiques que de représentativité des différentes régions de France. La musique a primé ! Ont ainsi contribué au projet Chansons traditionnelles pour aujourd?hui, des associations ou entités inscrites dans le réseau de la FAMDT (www.famdt.com). The instrumental scoring of four violas and basso continuo - in the Leipzig performances enhanced by two recorders doubling viola I and II at the octave - is unique in Bach's cantata oeuvre. It lends a dark, luxurious sound to the four movements which is gently illuminated by the recorders. The work - with its instrumental sinfonia, a short secco recitative and an extended accompagnato recitative (both of which contain arioso inserts), a short soprano aria and a simple closing chorale - makes no great demands on the performing forces. The oratorio LA FENICE SUL ROGO OVVERO LA MORTE DI SAN GIUSEPPE can rightly be considered the debut of Pergolesi’s career as a composer: composed in the early months of 1731 the oratorio was commissioned by the Congregazione di San Giuseppe locatedby the Oratorio dei Filippini in Naples. The critical edition was realized with criteria of philological rigor, based as the main source on the autograph score and on the manuscript copies still preserved.
