Die in diesem Band vorliegenden Sonaten sind erstmals in einer Fassung für zwei Klarinetten erschienen. Da sich sich die Klarinette zu Lebzeiten der Komponisten gerade erst in ihrer Erfindungsphase befand, existieren vor allem aus dem Barock kaum Klarinettensonaten. Die Stücke haben einen mittleren Schwierigkeitsgrad, wobei die erste Klarinettenstimme ein wenig anspruchsvoller ist als die zweite Klarinette, die ab und an die Begleitfunktion für die erste Stimme mit einfacherer Rhythmik und Melodik übernimmt. / 2 Clarinettes
