This full, yet gentle setting of the beloved Christmas hymn is perfect for a candlelight service or quiet concert closer. The low, rocking chords of the background choral parts are the same for all three stanzas. Interest is built by the addition of a second-stanza solo and third-stanza descants. Experiment with assigning the descants to instruments, or with supporting or replacing the lower voices with organ. SSSAA, soprano solo, and three descants a cappella; English; 4 pages; duration: 2:45 min.; range: f to f(top descant to c'''); difficulty: easy-medium. SSSAA, a cappella Published by: Treble Clef Music Minimum order quantity: 8 copies.

Truly a song that needs no introduction! This national treasure is arranged for success with power and respect for the original song. Quoting “America the Beautiful,” the arrangement begins with a flourish before settling into the opening, lesser-performed verse of the Irving Berlin standard. Gradually building to a massive finale, this anthem will have the audience singing along and cheering even before the final notes are sounded. Score and Parts for Orchestra (fl 1-2/pic, ob, cl 1-2, bn, hn 1-2, tpt 1-3, tbn 1-2, btbn/tba, timp, perc 1-3, hp, pno, vn 1-2, va, vc, db) and Brass/Percussion (hn, tpt 1-2, tbn, tba, perc 1-2) are both available as a digital download.

One of our most treasured octavos, this definitive arrangement has been a best-seller since its release in 1985. Now a new edition appears with updates by the composer and for the first time, a superb orchestration. The Chopin-esque accompaniment is beloved by all who have played it, and with the voicing options, this true classic is a permanent part of the Holy Week repertoire. Score and Parts (fl 1-2, ob, cl 1-2, bn, hn 1-2, tpt 1-3, tbn 1-3, tba, glock, perc, timp, hp, pno, vn 1-2, va, vc, db) available as a digital download.
