for Tuba and String Orchestra-American composer Arthur Frackenpohl (b. 1924) has written a significant amount of successful repertoire for the brass family. Concertino for Tuba and Piano reduction is no exception. Frackenpohl has won multiple awards for his compositions. Published in 1967 Concertino for Tuba added a significant work to the repertoire of an instrument which lacks in substantial solo compositions. Comprising three movements the first movement of Concertino is marked moderato followed by a lento second movement. The final movement is allegro. All three movements display fine aspects of the Tuba which areoften ignored. Suitable for intermediate Tuba players Frackenpohl's Concertino for the instrument is an exciting addition to the instrument's repertoire.

for Tuba Bass Saxhorn or Bass Trombone and Piano-To this day Eugène Bozza (1905-1991) remains one of the most prolific composers for wind instruments despite being a violinist himself. His Thème Varié for Tuba Bass Saxhorn or Bass Trombone with Piano accompaniment is an exquisite and unique addition to the repertoire. During his studies at the Paris Conservatoire Bozza won prizes for Violin conducting and composition as well as the Grand Prix de Rome. He then conducted the orchestra of the Opéra-Comique and became Head of the Conservatoire in Valenciennes whilst remaining a prominent composer. Composed in 1957 Bozza's Thème Varié reflects the composer's ability to compose for a variety of instrumentations. As music educationalist Paul Griffiths has written of Bozza's compositions 'his works reveal melodic fluency elegance of structure and a consistenly sensitive concern of instrumental capabilities.'
