Melodic charm bel canto sensibility impressionist harmony à la Française and jazz rhythm influences unite in this quartet for three B-flat Clarinets and Bass Clarinet. Yellow Green was premiered on July 23rd 2013 at the Teatro Municipal de Niterói (Rio de Janeiro) by the musicians of the Omega Quartet: Maurício Silva Deusiel da Cunha de Souza Diego Abreu and Mateus Falkemback (bass clarinet).    Approximately 9 minutes in length the title – Yellow Green – is a tribute to the two colours of the Brazilian flag. The introduction gives way to a vast Fugue (marked Vivace)dipped in the colours of swing. The central Adagio floats a dreamy timeless melody. The brief finale brings together the fugue’s thematic material with one last recommendation for the performers: “Feel jazz”. This invigorating work was recorded for the Chant de Linos label by its dedicatees the Omega Quartet clarinetists.

Commande du quatuor Anches Hantées, cet arrangement s'adresse à un quatuor de musiciens de 3ème cycle minimum.Restant fidèle à la partition originale, je me suis efforcé de transcrire les intentions musicales de DEBUSSY, tout en m'inspirant également des idées de l'orchestration, peut-être moins connue, qu'en a fait Henri BÜSSER.Les mouvements ont été transposés par rapport au ton original pour des questions de tessiture, mais aussi afin de privilégier des tonalités les plus adaptées possibles au quatuor de clarinettes. / Quatuor De Clarinettes
