Sir Karl Jenkins Music Award 2016.The composer comments that ?for the first ten years of this century I lived and composed on the Gower Peninsula an area of sandy beaches and dramatic cliff scenery with coastal caves; the first area in the UK to be officially designated as one of outstanding natural beauty. Living in an old mill alongside the Bury Pill stream I wrote from a stable block enjoying a vista across Cheriton Valley and the river to Ryers Down. This work is a musical reflection of time spent there.?Originally scored for Flute

La présente version pour flûte et harpe, fidèle au manuscrit de Ravi Shankar, et une version pour flûte et guitare (25232) dans l'arrangement 'Valade-Aussel'. Cette dernière est enrichie d'indications diverses issues des choix d'interprétation de Roberto Aussel et moi-même. L'instrumentiste pourra donc, s'il le désire, construire son interprétation en s'inspirant des indications contenues dans la version pour flûte et guitare. Dans ces deux éditions, les altérations sont notées strictement à la mesure, ceci pour ne pas surcharger inutilement le texte dont la facture modale ne laisse aucune ambiguïté sur ce point.
