Cruising Down The River was written in 1945 by Eily Beadell and Nell Tollerton two middle-aged British women and won a public song-writing competition. It was first recorded by Lou Preagerand his Orchestra and released in 1946 becoming one of the biggest hits of the year in the UK - both in terms of record sales and also sheet music sales. It has been re-recorded by many different artists over the subsequentdecades making it instantly recognisable to countless people. This classic song has been transcribed for Piano Voice and Guitar with Boxed Chord symbols for easy use.

Dans les années 1960, Lucienne Vernay a enregistré avec Les Quatre Barbus plusieurs versions de l'abécédaire fantaisiste écrit par Boris Vian. Les musiciens gentiment déjantés de Debout sur le zinc ont eu la bonne idée de reprendre le flambeau de la compositrice et interprète. Le songbook permet de retrouver toutes les paroles, mais aussi les accords pour guitare et la partition pour piano.
