Beethoven probably originally planned a complete string duo with four movements. Aside from the introductory movement a minuet has also survived that is likewise published here. This single edition taken from the establishedvolume 'String Trios and String Duos' (HN192) will certainly secure many new friends for this original work.

From 44 Duos For 2 Violins-Bela BartĆ³k's 44 Violin Duos or selections therefrom have been the source of arrangements for a variety of instruments such as for piano (one set by the composer the Petite Suite) band as well as duos for every member of the string family even contrabass. These all followed the original concept: a pair of identical instruments.
