Partition matériel. Par HUREL PHILIPPE. Après avoir écrit plusieurs longues pièces pour des effectifs variés, je me tourne pour la seconde fois vers la miniature. Je profite aussi de ce retour vers une certaine forme de simplicité apparente pour mettre en avant les instruments aux hauteurs indéfinies (temple blocs, tambour de bois, métaux divers sans hauteur fixe, peaux, objets percussifs variés...) alors que mon travail pour la percussion était jusqu'à présent orienté vers les claviers. Les trois miniatures qui composent ce trio revêtent un caractère hiératique dicté par des événements personnels récents et par l'intérêt grandissant que je porte, à plus de soixante ans, au domaine du sacré.
