Harpsichord Pieces LP. 78 is a set of works for Harpsichord written by Joseph Hector Fiocco and edited by Diana Petech. This edition includes a really complete preface with comments and advice to work through this book and explanations of all the symbols that can be found in it. It features 24 pieces divided in two suites with the second suite set in a more traditional layout than the first one. The name of each piece is also not especially appropriate regarding their style. He composed numerous religious music works.

Suite For The Harpsichord is a work by Lennox Berkeley written whilst he was based in Paris and studying under Nadia Boulanger. The suite is a wonderful example of a work for Harpsichord writtenat the time of major revival for the instrument as well as the new style of composition Berkeley was discovering. The work is edited by Christopher D. Lewis and lasts around 14 minutes.

In addition to these two contemporary versions this edition also contains an arrangement by the editor for Harpsichord or Organ based on the first edition. Though both early sources explicitly mention a Harpsichord the arrangements can also be performed effectively note-for-note on the Organ. As the surviving anonymous version merely places a solo part and a figured Bass on a two-stave system our edition is accompanied by performance material with one part each for transverse Flute/Oboe/Violin and Violoncello/Double Bass plus a figured Bass realisation.

The complete Harpsichord work - Volume 2 by Louis Couperin is the second of a series of volumes with suites for Harpsichord. Composed in a Baroque style the whole series features 133 pieces for advanced players. Louis Couperin (1626-1661) was a French composer and performer who created many pieces for Organ and for Harpsichord who later became musician at the court. He invented the genre of Unmeasured Prelude for which he created a form of notation where the harpsichordist can choose how long each note lasts. François Couperin Louis’ nephew is also a very famous musician who played the Harpsichord.

Jacques Duphly (1715-1789) studied the Harpsichord and Organ as a boy becoming a virtuoso of both instruments. Collection Le Pupitre (LP23) The third volume of Couperin's Pieces for Harpsichord does not contain a date of publication, however it is thought to have been composed during 1716-1717, due to the address which the composer gave on his other Harpsichord compositions. Yet, the compilation remains a favourite. François Couperin (1668-1733) is often nicknamed 'Couperin the Great' to distinguish him from other members of the musical family.
