Solo for Euphonium and Brass Band. Par OLSEN VADSTEN OYSTEIN. “Song for Frances” is a classic love ballad, written for concert band and brass band, with a soloist on euphonium. The piece always has the soloist in focus and gives him plenty of room to show off, both a warm sound and technical skills. Par DELERUYELLE THIERRY. Columbus est une ouverture dynamique et brillante pour brass band, avec un passage central doux et mélodieux. Outre de nombreuses villes américaines qui portent ce nom, Columbus est un laboratoire spatial européen faisant partie de la Station spatiale internationale. Lancé en 2008 par la navette spatiale américaine Atlantis, il permet d’effectuer des expériences scientifiques en continu : physique fondamentale, sciences de la vie, physique des fluides, etc. Plusieurs centaines d'expériences par an sont réalisées au sein de Columbus. Commandée par le Brass Band Bourgueillois, cette pièce célèbre les 10 ans du lancement de la formation sous l’impulsion de son chef d’orchestre, Michaël Auclert. L’ensemble réunit des musiciens issus des différentes harmonies du pays Bourgueillois et même au-delà. The dream develops into a more funky section, until it calms down again. Laling was commissioned by Korpsnett Norge, for their project ?Arvegods? Solo for Eb Tuba and Brass Band. Par SCHJELDERUP FREDRICK. 'On the run' was commissioned in 2017 by the tuba soloist, Joseph Cook, for his second solo album, 'Debut 2'. His only criteria for the commission was: 'Write me something funky for tuba'. Par SCHJELDERUP FREDRICK. Tension is a thematic work for brass band, commissioned by Eikanger-Bjørsvik Musikklag for their Summer Band Camp (called Feriespel) in 2014. The theme is moved around in various groups in the band, surrounded by different rhythms, time signatures and cluster chords. The Return of the Pirates. Par MINDE FAGERLI ROAR. 'The Return of the Pirates' is a five movement suite of music originally composed for a summer course arranged by The Norwegian Band Federation. The five movements describes scenes for the pirates' story. In the first movement they sing a shanty while preparing their ship to sail. I the second movement the pirates sails into a storm. In the third movement they sing a song to open ĂĄ treasure chest. The fourth movement is a dramatic swordfight. Mile after Mile. Par EIDE KAI. This song performed by Jahn Teigen represented Norway at the Eurovision final in 1978. The result was zero points, but after that, the song soon became very popular in Norway and is one of the biggest hits of his career. Par VILHELMSEN INGEBJORG. Diplodocus is said to be one of the largest dinosaus to ever have lived. This plant munching beast weighted approximately 20 tons, and could measure up to 30 metres from head to tail. The dinosaur lived in North America during the Jurassic period. This piece describes the carefree nature of a Diplodocus. A life with no natural enemies, and with an exceptionally small brain. To the conductor: The drum set part (Perc. 1) can be played as written, or ad lib. There is also a simplified drum set part that can replace Perc 1. if needed.
