Let's go! Everybody out in the snow. This rockin' call-and-response crowd-pleaser is all about sleds, snowboards, making snowmen, snow angels, and even having a friendly snowball fight. And with no mention of the holidays, you can sing it all winter long. Optional choreography (printed in the score and available as a downloadable video) will get your singers movin' and groovin'!

A little bit vaudeville, a little bit country, this zany novelty number is a hoot! You know Dasher and Dancer, and Prancer and Vixen? Well, this isn't about those guys, it's actually about their wacky cousins. You'll be laughing well into January!

Did you know the North Pole has a marching band? That's right, and Santa's the director! Who's on the roster? Elves, reindeer, and even Mrs. C! As this clever partner song unfolds, we sing about the whole crew and even imitate the sounds of their instruments. Mark time, march!

You may have studied this beloved Schubert art song in voice lessons, and now you can share it with developing choirs in a well-constructed, approachable arrangement. The choice of key fits comfortably within range and the Romantic era harmonies are easy to hear. Whether there are two or four hands at the piano, listeners will be hooked by the rippling water and leaping fish in the playful accompaniment. Concerned about the German words? A rhyming English translation provides a charming option. Listen to Fischer-Dieskau's iconic recording as an introduction to the piece or an extension of learning.

A folk-infused ballad celebrating the miracle of Hanukkah. Originally recorded by 90s pop sensation Lisa Loeb, this reflective change-of-pace choral features a rhythmic yet mellow accompaniment and straightforward but expressive vocal parts. Whether you perform with the guitar-inspired piano part, the optional SoundTrax CD, or a folk ensemble of your own, this is truly a special touch for holiday concerts.Because of changes in our school's schedule and the taking away of the music requirement in 7th and 8th grade, our choir numbers have dropped significantly. Searching for music that has educational value and that the choir will sound good on (we know that's important for the parents and faculty) I came across Light arranged by Andy Beck. This quickly became a favorite of my choir! The kids are excited to rehearse it every day and the sound they are achieving fits the folk-like feel of the piece. We are using the 2-Part version. Being 7th and 8th graders, of my nine boys, three are unchanged voices (singing alto as written) and my other six are in varying stages of voice change. Those six are bouncing back and forth between alto and soprano parts, singing them down an octave. Thank you for providing a great piece for the holiday season!Matt AlbrechtChoir DirectorCopley-Fairlawn Middle School

Have you ever heard of a bear with wings? Or a biffalo-buffalo-bison? How about a wallaboo? A. A. Milne, best-known as the author of Winnie the Pooh, penned this playful poem about amusing animals, both real and imagined, at a zany zoo. This clever children's choral offers plenty of musical moments (including independent counterlines and logical 2-part harmonies) in between giggles. Perform with a light, bright tone and crisp consonants on the patter-like words. Two likely results: hilarious rehearsals and a roaring crowd!

Paint a peaceful winter scene with the tender vocal lines and ethereal piano accompaniment of this striking original. A gentle ode to heavenly stars and falling snow, it is appropriate for any winter concert and features the kind of harmony you love to teach and sing. As a special touch, perform the final verse a cappella to heighten the quiet wonder. Hearts take hold, dreams take flight, on this sweet silent night.
