Isabelle ABOULKER, pianiste et compositrice française reconnue concentre à partir de 1981 son activité créatrice autour de la voix et de ,l'opéra. Attentive à la prosodie, exigeante dans le choix de ses livrets, elle se veut héritière de la tradition française : Debussy, Ravel, Poulenc. Le nom d'Isabelle Aboulker est également indissociable d'opéras pour enfants. De ' Moi, Ulysse ' (1982, commande de Jean-Claude Malgoire pour l'Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing) à ' Jérémy Fisher ' (2007, commande du Quatuor Debussy et de l'Opéra de Lyon) elle a composé de nombreuses oeuvres destinées au jeune public.
