Chapters of Life brengt deze boodschap bijzonder goed over.
Chapters of Life ci ricorda che i momenti difficili che incontriamo nel corso della vita sono solamente temporanei. E’ l’ottimismo con il quale tutti noi dovremmo affrontare la vita, che è evocato in questo brano in tre movimenti, To Dana, A Celebration of Life e Chapters of Life.News: Selected as a FINALIST in the 2012 ITEA Composition Contest (USA). $90.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Concert Band - Grade 3 SKU: HL.44005181 Grade 3 - Score Only. Composed by Philip Sparke. Anglo Music Concert Band. Concert Piece. Score Only. Composed 2004. 30 pages. Anglo Music Press #AMP125-140. Published by Anglo Music Press (HL.44005181). UPC: 073999888768. 8.5x11 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. Great Britain has had a National Youth Brass Band since 1952, which caters for players between the ages of 12 and 18 and has produced many outstanding instrumentalists in its distiguished history. An exciting development took place in July 2004 when the first summer course of a new National Children's Brass Band of Great Britain, for players between the ages of 8 and 13, was held in Bromsgrove, Worcester. Renowned cornet soloist and conductor Lynda Nicholson was appointed music director and she commissioned Philip Sparke to write a piece for this inaugural course. The Pioneers was the result. The title refers to the fact that the NCBBGB was starting out on a new adventure but is also a salute to the bicentenary of an expedition by two of the composer's heroes - Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. They were commissioned by US President Thomas Jefferson to find the headwaters of the Mississippi and a route to the Pacific following the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, which doubled the size of USA. They set out, as the “Corps of Discovery,” from Louisville, Kentucky, in May 1804; not only did they succeed in reaching the Pacific through hostile territory, but also found their way back - in three years! The piece is not descriptive of the journey but gives the composer the opportunity to celebrate the 200th anniversary of this amazing feat. $26.00 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 24 hours - In Stock

Concert Band Wind Band SKU: AP.12-0571570127 Suite for Military Band. Composed by Frank Bridge. 5 or More; Performance Music Ensemble; Solo Small Ensembles; Wind Band. Faber Edition: Faber Wind Band Series. Form: Suite. 20th Century; Masterwork. Score. Faber Music #12-0571570127. Published by Faber Music (AP.12-0571570127). ISBN 9780571570126. English. Frank Bridge was one of the finest English composers of the first half of the 20th century. The Pageant of London is his only work for wind band, comprising of two marches, one scored from Bridge's best known organ piece and including the chimes of Big Ben, plus three short renaissance pastiche items, one arranged from Playford (later used by Peter Warlock in Capriol Suite). The music is tuneful, approachable, and, in the words of wind band legend Timothy Reynish makes a fine alternative to Holst's two suites, which were composed around the same time. Reynish has introduced this work to concert bands right across the world. It has been performed in USA and the Far East, recorded by the celebrated Kosei Wind Orchestra of Japan and also by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in the Chandos edition of Bridge Orchestral Music. $25.99 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 1 to 2 weeks

Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 3 SKU: BT.DHP-1094736-010 Composed by Kazys Daugela. Applause Series. Original Light Music. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 2009. De Haske Publications #DHP 1094736-010. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1094736-010). 9x12 inches. The source (sauce!) of inspiration for this work was somewhat unusual. Whilst on tour with a youth brass group, Kazys Daugėla ate a Piri-Piri salad that had a wickedly hot sauce. He jokingly told his fellow band members that one day he would write a piece to celebrate this mouth watering experience. The result was this Hot and Spicy piece garnished with a light mambo rhythm!
$98.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 4 to 6 weeks

A rather solemn start leads to another war-like passage, ending with some loud crashes. This symbolizes the fact that the body of the pagan Koppany was cut into four pieces, and sent to the four castles of the country as an example. After a quiet, almost religiousintermezzo, the National Hymn of Hungary is introduced. This broad “grandioso†ending also has a symbolic meaning: after ten centuries, Hungary has many reasons to look back on the past with pride, and to look forward to the future with optimism and confidence.
$314.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 4 to 6 weeks

$314.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 4 to 6 weeks

Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 5 SKU: BT.DHP-0940571-010 Composed by Jan Van der Roost. Sovereign Series. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 1994. De Haske Publications #DHP 0940571-010. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-0940571-010). In the most literal sense: a piece for an occasion. The actual occasion was Jan de Haan’s twentieth anniversary as a conductor of the top Dutch brass band, “Soli Deo Gloria†(Leeuwarden). To mark the occasion, the band commissioned the Belgian comopser Jan Van der Roost to create a surprise piece: without knowledge of the person being celebrated, a suitable source of inspiration was sought for. After some thought the chorale-theme from Camille Saint-Saëns organ symphony was chosen, a piece with which Jan de Haan has a special bond.Apart from this chorale, Homage is also based on the names of notes taken from ‘Jan de Haan’ and ‘Soli Deo Gloria’, resulting in the tonerow: DEGAH. Both elements are combined together and form a grand climax towards the end of the piece when the whole band unites in the Saint Saëns’ theme.
$143.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Concert Band/Harmonie - Grade 3 SKU: BT.AMP-225-010 Composed by Philip Sparke. Anglo Music Midway Series. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 2007. Anglo Music Press #AMP 225-010. Published by Anglo Music Press (BT.AMP-225-010). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. Christmas as celebrated in England is a relatively newtradition dating from the time of Queen Victoria. Herhusband Prince Albert was from Germany and he broughtmany German Christmas traditions with him, including theChristmas tree and Christmascards, and even carols such asHark, the Herald Angels Sing. Philip Sparke has however useda varied selection of English melodies to arrange into his?Festival of Carols?.The choir parts are seperately available (order no. AMP 227-050).
: AMP 227-050). $145.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

De Haske Publications #DHP 1053784-010. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1053784-010). English-German-French-Dutch. Halloween is celebrated in many countries around the world on October 31. Traditionally, children go door-to-door dressed up in costumes and collect sweets and treats. A hollowed out pumpkin with a face carved into it, called a jack-o-lantern, is a traditional symbol of Halloween. Some jack-o-lanterns have scary faces, while others have fun, whimsical faces. The trombones in this piece represent the jack-o-lanterns with their whimsical faces—hence the title The Funny Pumpkins. Your trombone section will have immense fun with this new solo feature.
