Variable Brass Quintet with Organ Part Ad. Lib. - intermediate SKU: BT.DHP-1063977-070 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Roland Kernen. Music Box. Set (Score & Parts). Composed 2006. 12 pages. De Haske Publications #DHP 1063977-070. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1063977-070). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. The melody of the chorale Nun danket alle Gott (Now Thank We All Our God) was originally written in 1636 by the German clergyman and musician Martin Rinckart . Its international fame is due to the fact that in 1725 Johann Sebastian Bach based his cantata Gott, der Herr, ist Sonn’ und Schild (BWV 79) on this melody. The five-part arrangement by Roland Kernen that lies before you is suitable for a variable brass line-up. After a short introduction, the chorale follows, first in four-part harmony, and later with an added counterpart. A middle section, which sounds refreshing and rhythmic because of the time changes and articulation used, finally leads to a repeat of thechorale with an agile upper part. This arrangement also contains an organ part ad libitum.
The song Bist du bei mir, geh' ich mit Freuden zum Sterben und zu meiner Ruh' (BWV 508) was composed by Johann Sebastian Bach for his second wife Anna Magdalena (1701-1760), who he married in 1721. The unparalleled popularity of this song is probably due to the magnificent, sensitive melody that wonderfully fits the anonymous text, in which a loved one is told that even death is beautiful as long as you are there with me. Jacob de Haan has produced this beautiful arrangement for brass band, which is suitable for many occasions.

Set (Score & Parts). Composed 2017. De Haske Publications #DHP 1175781-020. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1175781-020). English-German-French-Dutch. Galea et Bellum was commissioned by the Excelsior Schraard music society (Friesland, the Netherlands). The work tells the story of a rare helmet that was discovered in a church in the Frisian village of Schettens in 2015. Research revealed that it had been the property of Skelte van Aysma, a Frisian officer who fought in the armies of the Princes of Orange Maurice and Frederick Henry during the Eighty Years’ War. This little piece of history was the starting point for this composition. As a leitmotif, the hymn ‘Ach wie flüchtig, ach wie nichtig ist der Menschen Leben’ (‘Ah, how fleeting, ah how insignificant’) has been used. This 17th century melody by Michel Franck, inan arrangement by Johann Sebastian Bach, initially appears only in fragments, but grows to full stature toward the end of the work. An ideal contest piece with lots of challenges for your band.
$9.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 4 to 6 weeks

Composed 2017. 53 pages. De Haske Publications #DHP 1175781-120. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1175781-120).

Concert Band and Vocal Soloist (Score) - Grade 5 SKU: HL.44011763 Poem...(+)
Concert Band and Vocal Soloist (Score) - Grade 5 SKU: HL.44011763 Poems by Graeme King. Composed by Marco Putz. De Haske Concert Band. Concert Piece. Score Only. Composed 2010. De Haske Publications #1094768. Published by De Haske Publications (HL.44011763). UPC: 884088896607. 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. The hymn Nun ruhen alle Walder (Now All Forests Rest), arranged by J.S. Bach (No. 6, So sei nun, Seele, deine, from Cantata BWV 13), is a guiding light throughout this four-movement composition. Pütz wrote this work as a musical outcry against the wilful, profit-driven destruction of our environment. When Bach used the word ruhen (to rest) over 350 years ago, it probably had a different nuance from the meaning it has today. At the beginning of the 21st century - the so-called age of progress - nun ruhen alle Walder should mean now all forests die . Massive industrialization and globalization, coupled with pure greed, corruption, political scandals, an ever-wideninggap between the rich and poor, and other such senseless human actions, are pushing our blue planet closer and closer to the point of no return. This work is not intended to be a ranting accusation. It should remind us of the beauty and harmony that can exist all around us in nature, if we take care of it. Pütz hopes that this will, one day, help put a greater emphasis on humanity's survival, and coexistence with nature rather than the exploitation described earlier. All four texts were created by Australian poet Graeme King, whose works were discovered by Pütz, by chance on the internet. Pütz was especially captivated by King's clarity, and intrigued by the possibilities of adapting and melding the strong rhythmical structure of King's writing with his own musical language. The four movements are as follows: 1. Tears of Nature 2. Grrrevolution 3. Stand up! 4. Tomorrow The world premiere of Four Earth Songs took place on 7 July 2009 at the 14th WASBE-Conference in Cincinnati (USA). This work is dedicated in friendship to Jouke Hoekstra, conductor, and the Frysk Fanfare Orkest (the Frisian Fanfare-Orchestra).
Tears of Nature 2. Grrrevolution 3.Stand up! 4.
Tears of Nature 2. Grrrevolution 3. Stand up! 4. Tomorrow Die offizielle Uraufführung von Four Earth Songs fand am 7. Juli 2009 statt, anlasslich der 14. WASBE-Konferenz in Cincinnati (USA).
Grrrevolution 3. Stand up! This new revised edition of the composer’s 2010 concert version represents the first appearance of the work in print in anyform. Lord intended it for his own use in live performance, as a companion to his celebrated Concerto for Group and Orchestra. It is a brilliant showpiece for the combined forces of rock band and orchestra, takinginspiration from the keyboard suites of J.S. Bach. This new full score is edited by Jon Lord’s long-time musical collaborator, the conductor Paul Mann, and makes use of many previously unavailable sources including themanuscriptscores of the original version and a copy of the score corrected in consultation with the composer following the 2010 premiere. It can therefore be said to represent as closely as possible Jon Lord’s final thoughts onthe work.
$38.95 - See more - Buy onlinePre-shipment lead time: 2 to 3 weeks

Fanfare Band and Vocal Solo - Grade 6 SKU: BT.DHP-1094768-120 For Soprano Solo and Band. Composed by Marco Putz. De Haske Manuscript. Concert Piece. Score Only. Composed 2009. 82 pages. De Haske Publications #DHP 1094768-120. Published by De Haske Publications (BT.DHP-1094768-120). 9x12 inches. English-German-French-Dutch. The hymn Nun ruhen alle Wälder (Now All Forests Rest), arranged by J.S. Bach (No. 6, So sei nun, Seele, deine, from Cantata BWV 13), is a guiding light throughout this four-movement composition. Pütz wrote this work as a musical outcry against the wilful, profit-driven destruction of our environment. When Bach used the word “ruhen” (to rest) over 350 years ago, it probably had a different nuance from the meaning it has today. At the beginning of the 21st century - the so-called age of progress - “nun ruhen alle Wälder” should mean “now all forests die” . Pütz hopes that this will, one day, help put a greater emphasis on humanity’s survival, and coexistence with nature rather than the exploitation described earlier. All four texts were created by Australian poet Graeme King, whose works were discovered by Pütz, by chance on the internet. Pütz was especially captivated by King’s clarity, and intrigued by the possibilities of adapting and melding the strong rhythmical structure of King’s writing with his own musical language. The four movements are as follows: 1. Tears of Nature 2. Grrrevolution 3. Stand up! 4. Tomorrow The world première of Four Earth Songs took place on 7 July 2009 at the 14th WASBE-Conference in Cincinnati (USA).
Juli 2009 statt, anlässlich der 14. WASBE-Konferenz in Cincinnati (USA).
