ch. This excellent
arrangement by Robert van
Beringen is of the
well-known German chorale
Wachet auf, ruft uns
die Stimme, taken
from the oratorio
Paulus (St. Paul)
by Felix Mendelssohn
Bartholdy (1809-1847).
Although accredited to
Mendelssohn it is thought
the melody was in fact
written by the pastor and
poet Philipp Nicolai in
1599. Robert van
Beringenâ??s arrangement
perfectly captures the
biblical story of St.
Paul.
Robert van
Beringen bewerkte het
bekende koraal Wachet

Stimme uit
Paulus, het eerste
oratorium van Felix
Mendelssohn Bartholdy.
Mendelssohn liet zich
graag door de muziek van
Johann Sebastian Bach
inspireren.Pas
vijfentwintig jaar oud
zette hij het dramatische
bijbelverhaal over Paulus
zeer overtuigend op
muziek. Robert van
Beringen maakte hiervan
een bekoorlijke versie
voor

bearbeitete den bekannten
Choral Wachet auf,

aus Felix Mendelssohn

Der erst 25-jährige
Mendelssohn, der sich
gerne von Johann

die dramatische biblische
Geschichte von Paulus
sehr überzeugend in
Musik um. Auch in der

bestechend gut!

Johann
Sebastian Bach schrieb
viele wundervolle
Choräle. Bei diesem
Choral, ursprünglich
eine Kantate des
berühmten Komponisten,
handelt es sich um eine
Abendhymne. Roland Kernen
verwendete die Hymne als
Grundlage für seine
Komposition. Nach einer
majestätischen
Einleitung, in der Roland
Kernen den harmonischen
Stil Bachs beibehält,
wird das Choralthema
vorgestellt. Dann folgen
zwei Variationen, in
welchen das Thema in
einer anderen Taktart
gespielt wird als das
Original. Die erste
Variation ist von einer
etwas friedvolleren Art
als die zweite, durch die
sich elegant eine ruhige
Melodielinie schlängelt.
Das Werk schließt mit
einer Wiederholung der
königlichen
Einleitung. $104.95 - Voir plus => AcheterDélais: 2 to 3 weeks | | |

The year 2000
is a jubilee year for the
Roman Catholic Church. To
celebrate this the
Vatican Church
commissioned Jean-Paul
Lecot to compose a hymn
for the festivities. The
composition, 'Christ
hier, Christ aujourd
'hui', became well known
through the
Vatican-approved CD
recording made by Andrea
Bocelli. Roland Kernen
has produced this
professional arrangement
which retains all the
beauty of the original.
Das Jahr 2000 war
das große Jubiläumsjahr
der katholischen Kirche.
Zu diesem Anlass erhielt
Jean-Paul Lécot vom
Vatikan den Auftrag, eine
Hymne zu komponieren, die
den Feierlichkeiten
musikalischen Glanz
verleihen sollte. So
entstand die Hymne Christ
hier, Christ
aujourd‘hui, die durch
die Interpretation Andrea
Bocellis berühmt
geworden ist. Roland

9x12 inches. The
title of this clever
arrangement reveals the
Christmas song it is
based on. The melody can
be traced back to a
French folksong from the
18th century which is now
known around the world.
In France it is called
Les anges dans nos
campagnes, in Germany
it is most widely known
as Engel auf den
Feldern singen and in
England it was originally
called Angels From the
Realms of Glory but
it often known as
Angels We Have Heard
on High. Everyone
will rejoice upon hearing
the â??Gloria in excelsis
Deoâ??
refrain!
Hinter
diesem Titel verbirgt
sich eine neue
Bearbearbeitung des alten
französischen
Weihnachtsliedes Les
anges dans nos
campagnes aus dem
Frankreich des 18.
Jahrhunderts. In
Deutschland kennt man es
(u. a.) als Engel auf
den Feldern singen,
in England existiert
neben dem oben genannten
Titel auch die Version
Angels We Have Heard
on High. Allen
gemeinsam ist der
markante Refrain Gloria
in excelsis Deoâ?? der
dem Lied seinen besonders
erhabenen, festlichen
Charakter
verleiht.
