Hawkes Pocket Scores HPS 1468-Originally a ballet score this 30' work is scored with strings and consists of three movements:'cumnock fair': A 12-minute fantasy based on dance melodies by the 18th-century Cumnock composer John French. The moods range widely from playful rustic archaic ungainly dreamy boisterous stately brutal and grotesque to mysterious and unnerving.'shambards'': Memories of Burnsian folksong are interrupted by new dance tunes built on fragments from the Mad Scene from Act 3 of Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor based on the novel by Walter Scott.'shamnation'. Low throbbing in the piano becomes a drumbeat to accompany a fast violin reel using three tunesand following a traditional 8-bar structure. The solo piano part emerges as a counterpoint to the Scottish themes after which the music winds its way through many different keys.

The very lively three-movement Piano Concerto in G major is characterised with regard to style by jazz influences especially in the first and third movements but by late Romantic and impressionist influences in the middle movement.Ravel himself called it 'a concerto in the truest sense of this generic term: With that I want to say that it has been written in the spirit of the concertos by Mozart and Saint-Saëns.'

for Piano and Orchestra Full Score. Par LECUONA ERNESTO. Rapsodia Argentina is based on traditional older Argentinian tangos, the most famous being_x001A_Buenos Aires,_x001A_which is heard at the outset. The whole piece is a kind of huge rondo and is divided into several sections, most of which recur during the course of the composition. One of them is a milonga, a native peasant dance of Argentina (and Bolivia) that is a variation of the tango. Rapsodia Argentina is probably the least known of the three rapsodias for piano and orchestra by Lecuona. For sale is the solo piano part. It is not a 2-piano version or a piano reduction. The solo part matches the available orchestration as arranged and recorded by Thomas Tirino.

Für Klavier und Orchester-Johann Joseph Rösler (1771 1812) was a composer conductor and pianist who was active in Prague and Vienna. Later he was in the service of Prince Franz Joseph von Lobkowitz. His Piano Concerto No. 2 in E-flat major of 1803 is a fitting companion to the piano concertos of Beethoven; indeed his first Piano Concerto in D major was mistakenly attributed to Beethoven until 1925.Now Rösler?s second Piano Concerto is appearing in print for the first time. This is due to editor Alena Hönigová discovering and identifying an autograph score which is the only preserved source in the Prague Conservatory archive. In this Urtext edition Hönigová takes into account the distinctivefeatures of Rösler?s handwriting and the division of parts in the score as befits the performance practice of his day.

for Pianoforte and Orchestra op. 37-Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.3 is the only concerto where no authentic manuscript exists for the solo part. The autograph of the score is available whereby the articulation dynamics and pedal markings are for the most part absent. However Beethoven oversaw the first printed edition of the solo part (1804) with great diligence. Plate corrections bear witness to the care with which Beethoven placed slurs and pedal markings in order to be consistent and unambiguous. By means of a thorough examination of the sources this new Urtext edition presents many corrections in terms of articulation dynamics and notes. Inparticular the orchestral parts have been corrected for the first time since Beethoven’s lifetime.Piano reduction with a separate solo Piano part.A must for pianists orchestras and Beethoven scholars.
