Par COROZINE VINCE. Designed to introduce the young intermediate-level pianist to playing the blues, Jazzin' the Blues presents fifteen original blues compositions in various keys, styles and grooves together with downloadable recordings of 40 of the 50 examples in the book. The audio tracks are presented both with and without the lead piano part, so the student can play along with a professional rhythm section which includes piano, vibraphone, alto flute, drums, and bass.Historical and performance notes are provided with each blues composition. The author enlisted the skills of jazz pianist Charlie Freeman in editing the book and providing fingering for both the treble and bass piano parts, making these pieces more accessible to novice players. If your knowledge of blues theory or terminology is lacking, this is the book for you! Author Vince Corozine thoroughly explores and demonstrates: blues and pentatonic scale theory, blue notes, grace notes, pedal-points, tremolos, trills, syncopation, anticipation, delayed beats, slash chords, boogie-woogie left-hand patterns, walking bass, stride piano style, straight eighths, swing eighths, passing tones, rolled chords, riffs, 'filler' chords, substitutions, and comping styles. This book also includes essential blues chord theory as well as tips on tasteful chord voicing presented in the context of accompanying a soloist (comping): in addition, the chord progressions represented by the written notation are carefully annotated in every example in the book. The Appendix includes helpful tips on comping, practice, and jazz soloing, plus a list of noteworthy jazz pianists, a key to chord symbols, and a glossary of jazz terms used in the book.If you are not a competent blues pianist when you first pick up this book, you will be by the time you complete it! 50 Easy Pieces from 5 Centuries. Par . For the Easy Concert Pieces series, the experienced piano teacher Monika Twelsiek compiled pleasant, easy piano pieces for beginners and published them in three volumes in progressive order.
The three volumes are intended to complement a piano tutorial method and are particularly suitable for performance at auditions at music schools, for examinations and for competitions. They offer varied repertoire in a broad selection of pieces from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras.
Volume 1 (ED 22547) can already be used by beginners, containing pieces in the five-note range and easy pieces spanning a single octave. Other criteria for selection are simple rhythms and very easy chords. Crossing the thumb underneath, playing several parts together and pedal use are not yet required.
Volume 2 (ED 22548) contains pieces with an extended range of two octaves. Crossing the thumb under, pedal use, simple polyphony and three- or four-part chords all feature here, as do simple ornaments, cantabile playing and differentiating between melody and accompaniment.
Volume 3 (ED 22549) is aimed at advanced players who wish to refine their expression and personal interpretation. The pieces demand a great deal of dexterity, a high sense of rhythm, articulation and phrasing, polyphonic playing (polyphony even in one hand) and tonal differentiation of the piano setting. / Niveau : Très facile / Date parution : 2021-12-09/ Recueil / Piano

The 'Traditional' manner in which most people acquire the skill to play piano is to choose a teacher commit to lessons and spend many hours practicing. Although there is no substitute for the time it takes to master this instrument we can provide an alternative to the regimented lesson format. Ensenese A Tocar El Piano the Spanish Edition of Teach Yourself Piano by Bob Hartz was created for support as you learn the basics of piano on your own schedule and the authentic translation acquaints you with playing at a pace only governed by you. Bob Hartz begins by presenting the basics and explaining the fundamentals in a logical manner. Additional information is providedin a methodic fashion in an attempt to build on the knowledge previously gained. Teaching yourself is challenging but ultimately quite rewarding as you acquire the ability to read music play chords and apply these skills to piano. Should you desire further study upon completion of this 'self-taught' methodic approach then choosing a good teacher would be the next step. To truly master the piano it takes many years of dedicated practice and study but some would like to dabble enough to simply have fun. With the new Urtext Primo series, the Wiener Urtext Edition wants to close the gap arising at the point of transition to additional lessons after having studied a piano method. Beginning with a performance level which is outlined by pieces such as Bach's Minuet in G (BWV Anh. 116), Mozart's Minuet in F (KV 5) or Schumann's Wilder Reiter (Op. 68/8), works by three different composers are selected for each volume of the Urtext Primo series, with the aim of offering piano pupils (or even adults who want to resume piano playing) a wide range of repertoire pieces on the basis of which they can enhance their technical and musical skills. The pieces' range of levels of difficulty is relatively narrow so that the volume can be used continuously over a period of about two years. This is what distinguishes the Urtext Primo approach from almost all common anthologies. The selected repertoire takes into account not only pieces of the classic canon of lessons, but also lesser known works which are in no way of less importance for piano lessons. The Urtext Primo volumes are published in the internationally recognised standard of the Wiener Urtext editions. The explanations included in each volume shall help to deepen the knowledge of musical styles, music history and piano playing. A repertoire chart at the end of each volume gives a rough overview of the levels of difficulty of the selected pieces.Volume 4 combines works of the German Romanticism by Schumann, Brahms and Theodor Kirchner. Apart from well known pieces from Schumann's 'Album for the Youth' and the easiest waltzes from opus 39 (in the easier version) by Brahms, the selection contains the attractive set of variations from Schumann's first Youth Sonata Op. 118/1 and Brahms' Saraband in A minor WoO 5/1 as well as a number of pleasant pieces by Theodor Kirchner which continue the tonal air of Schumann and Brahms in easy playable pieces. / Piano

Hummel Band 3 Piano seul Wiener Urtext
With the new Urtext Primo series, the Wiener Urtext Edition wants to close the g...(+)
68/8), each volume contains works by three different composers, with the aim of offering piano pupils (or even adults who want to resume piano playing) a wide range of repertoire pieces on the basis of which they can enhance their technical and musical skills. In contrast to conventional piano anthologies, the pieces' range of levels of difficulty is relatively narrow so that the volume can be used continuously over a period of about two years. The selected repertoire takes into account not only pieces of the classic canon of lessons, but also lesser known works which are in no way of less importance for piano lessons. The explanations included at the end of each volume shall help to deepen the knowledge of musical styles, music history and piano playing. A repertoire chart at the end of each volume gives a rough overview of the levels of difficulty of the selected pieces. After Vol. 1 with works by Bach, Handel and Scarlatti and Vol. 2 with compositions by Haydn, Mozart and Cimarosa, Vol. 3 contains pieces by Beethoven, Schubert und Hummel, including popular pieces such as Beethoven's 'Für Elise' and lesser known, yet stimulating settings by Johann Nepomuk Hummel. / Piano

Aulos to a certain degree continues Orbán's easy piano pieces for children, which he composed for Ágnes Lakos's piano tutor and which Editio Musica Budapest published in a separate volume entitled Enchanted Forest in 2011 (Z. 14742). Yet on this occasion the composer took on something which was both significantly different and more than his earlier pieces for children. On the one hand, he did not compose for beginners but for more advanced students who have studied piano for at least three years. On the other, he did not set developing the technique of piano playing as an aim, rather a systematic presentation of different polyphonic genres and compositional procedures (imitation, fugue, stretto, inversion, augmentation and diminution, double counterpoint, latent polyphony, double and triple fugue, cantus firmus technique, etc.). Orbán introduces his students to the mysteries of polyphony in a direct and practical manner, and thus actually makes them familiar with the art of composition. The educational use of the series is significantly increased by the fact that before each piece the composer presents and clarifies with demonstrative illustrations the polyphonic procedure he introduces. Orbán's explanations are not text-book-like at all, but are deliberately personal and subjective, full of lessons and individual associations taken from his practice as a composer. They were written in the same spirit as the works themselves - while they perfectly fulfil their educational purpose they are equally individual, witty and inspired pieces of music that are a joy to play. / Piano

40 Pieces Without Octaves. Par DIVERS AUTEURS / ARENS BARBARA (ARR.). Having a small hand span on the piano is frustrating. So much piano literature contains octaves or big chords making it difficult or impossible to play. It is a problem for piano teachers to find playable yet engaging, motivating, fun literature for their small-handed students. One such teacher asked Barbara Arens to write some pieces without octaves and chords that are hard to play specially for her small-handed pupils - and the idea for Small Hand Piano was born. Being an experienced teacher for all age groups herself, the author of One Hand Piano, 21 Amazingly Easy Pieces, Piano Misterioso, Piano Vivace - Piano Tranquillo and Piano Exotico composed 20 pieces in a large variety of styles without a single octave. And to ensure that the collection is as varied as possible, she not only chose tried-and-tested pieces by Massenet, Gurlitt, Sibelius, and Heller, but also unknown works of Marcello, Koželuch, Schytte, and Rebikov as well as arrangements of film music by Howard Shore and Barbra Streisand. / Date parution : 2019-10-25/ Recueil / Piano

The Trout: Piano:
Instrumental Piano seul [Partition + Accès audio] Music Minus One
Music Minus One Piano-Schubert's seminal chamber composition the Piano Quintet ...(+)
Music Minus One Piano-Schubert's seminal chamber composition the Piano Quintet in A major D667 commonly known as 'The Trout' or 'Die Forelle ' is certainly one of the greatest pieces of music ever penned. Its rich textures and lovely melody create an unforgettable musical experience. Its celebration of nature's beauty stems from a summer trip in the Austrian Alps which inspired the young Schubert to rework a song into this complex chamber-piece. Composed of five alternating movements 'The Trout' uses unique orchestration (substituting a double bass for the second violin) and gives special emphasis to the piano as well. But all the instruments take an equal role and this may also be a reason for thepiece's eternal popularity. 'The Trout' instantly brings to mind the calm serenity of the summer mountain air and its sparkling melody and gentle poignancy leave a particularly happy feeling in both player and listener. It is a joy-filled piece but at the same time is filled with a serene quality that makes it one of the most exhilarating pieces for any musician to play and one of the most important compositions for any musician to learn. This Music Minus One edition gives you that opportunity in the comfort of your own home. Contains a high-quality printed music score with informative liner notes and compact disc (with accompaniments only) voluminously indexed for ease of practice. Barbara Arens writes... A fact: I love Scotland. Every time I come home after travelling in Scotland I feel myself bursting with ideas inspired by all I've seen and experienced there. The heather-covered hills and the dusky forests the wind the amazingly pure air the mysterious ruins - and especially the water - be it a dark brown burn a roaring waterfall heavy clouds a gentle mist or the waves of the North Sea or a loch just begging to be explored - and the people I meet and their lovely almost always comprehensible speech...What a source of inspiration! And then there's the music - nothing is more thrilling than hearing massed bands of pipes and drums aswell as the rich tradition of folk music. So I come home and sit down at the piano and try to put these impressions into music trying always to keep the pieces as easily playable as possible - I want my piano students to enjoy them and express themselves through them without struggling with technical difficulties. So some of these pieces reflect my impression of a landscape standing stones a sunset over a loch; but some of the pieces are based on actual traditional gaelic songs and tunes. A wonderful discovery was finding the Scots Musical Museum the collection of traditional songs assembled and revised to a great extent by Robert Burns which appeared in Edinburgh 1769 1803 - a fantastic resource.I'm hoping you'll enjoy playing this collection of Scottish Piano pieces.

Allain Gaussin, a pupil of Olivier Messiaen at the CNSM in Paris, and a veritable alchemist of sound, created a sensual and sparkling work that aims to induce in listeners the sort of 'internal awakening' that the Japanese refer to as Satori ' the title given to a piece for solo clarinet he wrote in 1998. Composed a decade later, Tokyo-City for solo Piano draws on the same inspiration, fuelled by several stays in Japan. Gaussin sets out to reproduce the various sensations he experienced during his walks around the Japanese megalopolis: a fear of being swallowed up by its vastness gives way to a bedazzlement in the face of a buzzing universe awash with harmonies and colours. The work follows a dual symmetrical structure (in terms of register and tempo): after an enigmatic start entrusted to the low notes of the piano, a musical figure gradually emerges from 'floating polyphonies', producing a veritable toccata which is slowly deformed, like an anamorphosis. Then, only a glimmering of crystal-clear harmonies remains, and the work ends sparsely on the highest notes of the piano.
