Julius Klengel (1859-1933) was a German cellist composer and pedagogue. He was a cellist with the Leipzig Gewandhaus for over fifty years and was also a Professor at the Leipzig Conservatory. He wrote around 60 performance works including several concertos for the Cello. He is best remembered for his three volumes of Tägliche Übungen or Daily Studies but his two volumes of Technical Studies?(Technische Studien) arguably have an even greater pedagogical value. The first volume is presented here and covers a wide range of key signatures accidentals and clefs with fingering providedwhere appropriate.?
