Komponiert wurde der Soundtrack zu Sergio Leones klassischem Italo-Wester von Ennio Morricone, der auch schon die beiden ersten Filme der Trilogie - Fur eine Handvoll Dollar und Fur ein paar Doller mehr - vertont hatte. Die Metal-Band Metallica eroffnet seit 1983 ihre Konzerte stets mit diesem dramatischen und packenden Lied, das Lorenzo Bocci fur Blasorchester arrangierte.
