Concertino for violin and string orchestra was composed in 1993. It is a pleasant score with a slightly virtuosic touch written with the idea of creating a relaxed atmosphere in which the soloist and the orchestra can display their technique and expressive capabilities. It is a work, similar in lenght to baroque concertos, and is divided into three movements, folowing the conventional form.: two fast movements around a slow one. Te first two movements -Allegro burlesco and Adagio cantabile- follow the ABA pattern. The third starts with a -cadenza- by the soloist which includes thematic material from the previous slow movement linking straight up to the -Presto- which uses as its main idea a more forceful version of the opening melodic sketch of the -Allegro burlesco- converted into three time. The work was specially creatied for the violinist Gerard Claret and the Orquestra de Cambra Nacional d'Andorra. Se trata de una partitura amable y de cierto toque virtuosistico cuya principal preocupacion ha sido crear una atmosfera distendida en la que el solista y la orquesta puedan desplegar con espontaneidad sus capacidades tecnicas y expresivas. Es una obra de duracion similar a la de los conciertos del barroco y dividida en sus tres tipicos movimientos. Dos rapidos enmarcando uno lento. Los dos primeros -Allegro burlesco y Adagio cantabile- se desarrollan bajo el esquema ABA. El tercero inicia con una -cadenza- del solista que recoge material tematico del movimiento lento precedente para enlazar sin interrupcion con el -Presto- que utiliza como idea principal el dibujo melodico que abre el -Allegro burlesco-, pero mas decidido y a compas ternario. This arrangement of Rave-Elation was commissioned by Musiktheater im Revier. The first performance was given by Ballett Schindowski, with the Neue Philharmonie Nordrhein- Westfalen conducted by Bernhard Stengel, in Gelsenkirchen, for their all-Hindson ballet Veitstanz, choreographed by Bernd Schindowski, on 24 January 2004. Rave-Elation was written for performance by the combined forces of Camerata Australia and Camerata Scotland. It uses aspects of popular music as a starting point, in particular that of the 'techno' music genre.

The piece is almost exclusively hedonistic in content, and this is deliberate. The main inspiration for the work comes from dance and 'rave' parties, especially the party-goers' single-minded indulgence in physical enjoyment.

Anyone who believes traditional tonality to be no longer capable of expressing anything more than timeworn cliches should listen to Kerem's work. (Robert Maxham / Fanfare) Lament for violoncello and strings was written as a commission from Camerata Nordica and its principal cello, Per Nystrom, in 2008. At Per's request the solo part in this piece was composed to represent a lone human voice in a world of disappointment. The composer tells: I used the violins and violas as an operatic choir: they support and comment on the lament of the lone human being. The bass line is one long drone throughout the piece, representing destiny or unwanted reality. It disappears only when the solo voice with the chorus of violins and violas intensifies in their disagreement with life. At the climax of the piece the solo voice is momentarily swallowed by the chorus, only to return with an angry statement of the opening phrase. Thereafter the chorus calms down in acceptance that the world won't change. The bass drone returns to haunt the dying lament of the lone voice. The very last phrase is the only one in a major key and echoes as a prayer for hope. Duration c. 9 minutes. The cantata Daran erkennen wir, dass wir in Ihm bleiben is intended for the first Whitsun holiday. It is based on a text by Johann Christoph Wentzel (1659-1723), the yearly volume in which it appears dates to August 4, 1703 and is dedicated to, among others, Hn. Joh. Kuhnau / | Chori Musici bey der | Stadt Leipzig Directori [Herr Joh. Kuhnau / Director of Choral Music at the City of Leipzig]. It can be assumed that Kuhnau's composition originated near the time of the text, thus within his first years in office as the Leipzig St. Thomas cantor. Kuhnau follows the structure of Wentzel's poem in a Dictum and four verses with introductory sonata, although some details are varied. In comparison to other works by Kuhnau, the scoring is fairly large with five vocal parts, trumpets, timpani, oboes, and bassoon as well as two violins and violas each.
